Two of my poems, “The Left Shoe,” and “Metastasis,” appeared in the Fall 2014 issue of Blood and Thunder: Musings on the Art of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. This is a beautifully designed and edited journal. This is the 14th edition of this annual publication. Both of these poems are about courageous patients that I had the privilege to serve.
